Cortney Gift is a multilingual actress born in Hartford, Connecticut. Fluent in Spanish and French, she has always had an admiration for learning and understanding different cultures. Cortney started acting at the age of 8 mostly in children’s musical theatre (West Side Story, Bye Bye Birdie, Oliver and many more!) When it came time for college, Cortney was accepted to the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. With so many varied interests, she double majored - earning Bachelors of Science and Arts degrees, in Business and Spanish (minors in Drama and French). After graduation, Cortney worked in International Fashion Sales. Despite a successful career, she decided to pursue acting full-time. Cortney resides in Brooklyn, NY and has trained at Stella Adler Studio of Acting, Upright Citizen’s Brigade, T. Schreiber Studio and The Barrow Group. Her television credits include Pose, Power, High Maintenance, Godfather of Harlem and more. She has collaborated with various artists: Forest Whitaker, MJ Rodriguez, Ken Leung, Zeljko Ivanek and Naturi Naughton.
